Terms of Use

What Plotume is

Plotume is a social network for talking about books, films and series, sharing photos and moments, organizing your shelf and joining group reading challenges. By creating an account you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Community Rules.

Your account

Plotume is intended for adults: you must be 18 or older to create an account and use the app. Keep your password safe and use truthful information. You can delete your account at any time in Settings > Delete account.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you allow us to store, display and distribute it within Plotume to the people who can see it. Only post photos and texts you have the right to share, and mark spoilers.

Zero tolerance

We do not tolerate illegal content, hate speech, harassment, threats, nudity or sexual exploitation, graphic violence, spam or copyright infringement. You can report posts, comments and profiles and block anyone. We review reports and may remove content and suspend accounts without notice.

Plotume Plus

Plotume Plus is an optional monthly or yearly subscription purchased through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling keeps access until the end of the paid period. Refund requests are made to Apple. Everything free in Plotume stays free.

Plus Library

Plus subscribers can read the full books of the Plus Library in the app while their subscription is active. Anyone with an account can read the free samples. Books marked 18+ open, samples included, only after you declare that you are 18 or older. Reading is a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license valid only inside Plotume: books are not sold to you and may not be copied, redistributed or extracted from the app. The catalog may change, and titles may be added or removed according to distribution rights. To read, a temporary copy of the book is kept on the device; it is deleted when access ends, when online confirmation has been pending for more than 72 hours, or when you sign out.

Challenges and achievements

Points, levels, ranks and achievements are motivational features logged by people themselves. They have no monetary value, give no right to prizes and may be adjusted to prevent abuse.

Third-party services

Book and screen data may come from Open Library and TMDB. Sign-in may use Apple or Google. These services have their own terms.

Limitations

Plotume is provided as is and may change, become unavailable or end features. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for content posted by users.
